Zedi is a super soft young man who is very sweet and attentive towards his human.  He tries super hard to be a good boy, this fella is somewhat shy due to being under-socialized before coming into his foster home.  While he has made leaps and bounds in his confidence, he will still need some love and work.  Want to know more about this fine young gentleman?

If Zedi was a human with an amazing human job like the rest of us #InsertEyeRollHere, he would make a great personal assistant.  He loves inserting himself into all activities around the house and in your daily life #MonkeySeeMonkeyDo.  As for his personality, it took a little time for him to decompress at his foster home but now he seems to think he is a tiny little dog and wants to be in your lap even though he is not really lap-sized or the most coordinated pup at this point in his life.  Due to his shyness, he is cautious when meeting new people and dogs.  Sometimes he will hackle at them and then retreat next to his handler.  With dogs he warms up rather quickly, people take a little more time.  Also, he does have some prey drive and he thinks that cats are for chasing, to which he got his feeling hurt by the resident cat at his foster home who let him know #HomieDontPlayThat.

Zedi loves riding in the car, he thinks that it might be the best thing he has ever experienced.  During his vet’s appointment, he was a good boy for the staff, and they all gave him kudos for his bravery.  He does not appear to be bothered by loud noises, but if something does startle him, he looks to his human for guidance.  Other than riding in the car he does enjoy shredding soft toys but has never really been destructive in the house otherwise (except for one rainy day).  One of the things that he does that makes his foster laugh is the way his face lights up when he sees you return home #EverythingIsExcitingForHim.

During Zedi’s time in foster, he has mastered Kennel, Here (recall), and Load Up commands.  Other commands and behaviors that he is working on are relaxing in his crate during the day, leaving the cats alone, walking nicely on a leash, and not being a dumpster diver.  Speaking of a dumpster diver, this little goon will counter-surf right in front of you.  So, watch out for your food, and will need continued training on not “helping” in the kitchen.  Other unwanted habits that will need to be worked on are jumping up and putting his feet on everything.  This is more than likely just a puppy stage behavior but will need continued training to be “nipped in the bud”.

Zedi is looking for his forever home that could require an experienced handler with breed experience due to his nature.  He will need a moderately active home, one that is versed in the proper socialization of adolescent dogs.  Possibly in the future, he might enjoy more public outings more but as of right now solo time with focused training is best for his socialization, and slow introductions are key.  Sports that he might excel in are tracking or scent work as he has a super sniffer and loves being rewarded with some tasty food when he does something good.  So, if you are looking for a puppy that needs some training but has the capability of being the best boy ever, look no further than Zedi!
