Marty
Male
~DOB: 2/1/2018
72#
Marty has low ball drive. Will chase but not always bring back.
He's a big nice boy. High energy at first, but he usually runs a bit to burn off excess energy and settles into exploring and nice handler engagement. He likes to air snap, jump up, needs obedience training but is NOT aggressive. He likes to dig when bored, which is fine as I have a dedicated area for diggers.
He has nice food drive and will work for his food. Can be a bit resource guards with his bowl, but I feed him alone and never bother a dog when they eat.
We believe Marty is scared of cats. One of them was up high on a shelf in the barn. Marty was sniffing all over the place. One was hidden behind some stuff on the sofa and he never found or tried to flush her. I poked at the kitty on the shelf and got her to meow. Marty stopped his sniffing and cocked his head. He whimpered and whined. He then tried to push the door open to leave. I brought him back to see how close I could get him to the kitty. He put his front feet on the sofa and was a few inches to her nose as she leaned over to investigate him. He jumped down and went to leave the tack room.
Overall, he is a super nice boy who needs polishing to his obedience, a person who will love him, and a home to enjoy his golden years.

Mace
Male
~DOB: 9/1/2021
53#
Mace is a dynamic dog with medium energy and drive. Although he enjoys a game of fetch, the challenge lies in retrieving the ball – a skill he's working on.
Mace hates returning to his kennel and his anticipation will manifest with him often jumping on or mouthing his handler. With some firm boundaries and reassurance he is redirected easily. In the play yard, he transforms into a calm and engaging teammate and playmate. Dog-neutral and well-versed in commands like Sit, Down, Stay, Come, and Shake, Mace is a trainable delight. While leash manners need attention, he willingly allows handling and even indulges in belly rubs, revealing his affectionate side. Providing mental stimulation through training is key for Mace, who thrives on handler engagement and promises a super fun experience for those lucky enough to work with him.

Jordan
Male
~DOB: 1.1.2022
62#
Are you looking for an outstanding young Mal? Well, look no further. Jordan is one heck of a dog! He is social, rides well in the car, is well-mannered at the vets' office, and quiet in a kennel.
Jordan will bond very quickly to his handler so care will need to be taken to ensure he doesn't become possessive or suffer from separation anxiety. Proper boundaries and structure will help avoid those things. Jordan is dog friendly with slow controlled introductions and prefers more calm dogs. When meeting cats he was unsure and seemed fearful as he growled and retreated.
Jordan is a Goldilocks Mal. Not too much, not too little. Moderate ball drive, moderate energy, and easy to handle. He is a joy to be around!

Fennel
Female
~DOB 9/1/2018
47#
Fennel is a dynamic canine with an exuberant ball drive and an insatiable love for fetch. This spirited pup once staged a sit-down protest not wanting to return to her kennel, showcasing her passion for play. Fennel will thrive in an environment with a spacious yard or plenty of opportunities to run and play. She adores carrying toys like Kongs or Chucki-It balls and she romps around the yard.
Dog-neutral, she effortlessly interacts with fellow canines. The fence-separated introduction to others remain drama-free. Although she pulls on the leash when heading out for playtime, Fennel's people-oriented nature shines, as she delights in having a task to learn. Brinkley
Female
~DOB 5/1/2019
50#
This pretty girl loves to take in her surroundings and smell every inch she can! Once she has checked things out she is happy to settle in for some pets. She has moderate energy, minimal ball drive, and will need an active handler to keep her body and mind stimulated.
She can be stubborn so often needs firm, but fair correction. With continued training, she is making great improvement.
With her love of using her nose and insanely high prey drive, nose work and barn hunt are just a few sports she may like to engage in. She has been tested with cats and horses and will not be placed in a home with small animals or livestock.
Brinkley would also likely do well with another neutral dog to play with after proper introductions. She rides well when crated in the car and is well-mannered at the vets' office.
