Meet Jaida: The Free-Spirit With Springs for Legs

Jaida is the kind of dog who doesn’t just enter a room…she arrives. Full of smiles, sass, and spontaneous gallops, she moves through life like a free-spirited dancer who hears music no one else does. She’s young, affectionate, and endlessly people-oriented, checking in often to make sure she hasn’t missed out on anything fun (or any hugs). If Jaida were human, she’d absolutely be a free-form dancer, equal parts enthusiasm, expression, and joyful chaos.

Jaida is incredibly sweet and loving, but she’s also a busy girl with a big personality. She can come on strong at first with her spring-loaded greetings, nose boops to the face, and the occasional enthusiastic hug, but it all comes from a place of excitement and love. With gentle reminders and structure, she’s more than capable of offering polite greetings… she just needs help remembering that not everyone wants to be greeted like a long-lost best friend.

She’s confident, curious, playful, and thrives on positive engagement. Heavy-handed approaches don’t work for her. Jaida is smart and will simply outmaneuver you. When training feels collaborative and upbeat, she shines.

Jaida believes there are no strangers, only friends she hasn’t met yet. She enjoys other dogs but can be a bit grabby and intense during play, especially if running is involved. She does best with clear boundaries and reminders. Because of her rambunctious, curious nature, she’s not a fit for homes with cats or small animals. Kids should be older and dog-savvy. She loves their energy but doesn’t always realize her own strength or enthusiasm.

 At Home she is:

• House trained

• Crate trained

• Curious but respectful of counters and trash with reminders

• Not destructive outside of toys (which she enthusiastically dismantles, so supervised play recommended)

 Training & Skills:

• Knows: Sit, down, leave it, come, place, middle

• Working on: Wait, off, bring Motivated by: Food, praise, and connection She responds best to positive, fair guidance and thrives when training feels like her idea.

Jaida needs an experienced, patient adopter who understands high-energy working breeds and can give her clarity, structure, and outlets for her brain and body. With the right guidance, she has all the pieces to become an incredible partner. Heavy-handed or chaotic environments won’t help her thrive, but thoughtful leadership will. She may like to explore sports like Barn hunt, scent work, lure coursing, or any activity involving movement and play. Focus and precision will come with time and training.

Jaida isn’t perfect, but she’s full of potential, joy, and heart. For the right person, she’ll be an unforgettable companion full of love, enthusiasm, and adventure.
