Perfect dog? Maybe.  Good manners and loads of energy, yes!  Smart as a whip but knows how to chill out, yes!  Well, that is Luxor in a nutshell. #HelpImTrappedInANutshell

If Luxor was a human, she would quickly rise to the CEO position in the corporate world as she is not afraid to work and will tell others to get busy if they are slackin’.  She is a very sweet, kind, and affectionate dog that loves to play.  Fetch is her number one favorite game in the world, she will retrieve her ball and bring it right back to you gently placing it at your feet or in your hands every time.  This young lady is an independent thinker who expects time and engagement from her person or family.  It has been noted she can be a little protective of her person and her property as well.

Luxor is social and plays well with other non-dominant female dogs and most male dogs.  She is being fostered on a farm and has shown a strong desire to herd the cattle around, so maybe herding classes are in her future!  Additionally, she does not chase chickens, which is a plus in a farm setting.  This lady is bold and not shy at all, she will stand her ground regardless with a level head.  Her foster family hosts team roping events at their property on the weekends and Luxor has been quite passionate about joining in the fun.  But her foster took her to the announcing office where she disregarded all the commotion and slept like a rock for 4 hours!  There have been instances where people have come into her space unannounced, and she was quick to offer an alert bark, but took to her foster's direction and laid back down once the person was approved.

She looks forward to car rides, which is a plus and she does not get car sick!  Also, she was very excited about the vet’s office but was obedient the whole time.  Loud noises do not seem to bother this lady either.  For working on her training, it seems that she reacts best to praise and string cheese, and if she is doing something out of line a simple verbal correction is all that is required for her to stop the behavior.  In and around the house she is super busy and has a nose for getting into certain things, so her in-house manners could use a little work.  Additionally, her foster noted that she has never seen Luxor be destructive with toys, digging, or other general mischief either.  As an added bonus she is crate-trained as well.

Luxor is looking for her forever home that is quiet but active.  She loves playing with the neighbors 1 year old non-dominate female GSD and getting some exercise running alongside her foster dad's golf cart when heading out to feed the animals in the morning and before bedtime.  She is an active girl who needs a little more home structure to become the best dog ever.  So, if you have a quiet home with another playful dog and are looking for a fun and loving pup to share in your adventures, Luxor could be the lady for you!
