Waldo is a Velcro puppy through and through.  He wants to be next to you participating in everything you do regardless of if it is human fun or not.  Watching TV, Waldo is there.  Going to the bathroom, hello it is me, Waldo.  Need a small four-legged buddy to snuggle, boom Waldo appears.

If Waldo was a human, he would be a toy tester, probably one of those multi-millionaire kids on YouTube telling you all about the toys they are unboxing and playing with.  If it squeaks, is plush, rubber, or makes any sort of dog toy noise then expect Waldo to want something to do with it.  He can be a bit cautious when meeting new people but warms up very quickly once he realizes that he can get some pets and belly rubs out of them!  Additionally, he can be slightly possessive over his items, but as a puppy, this is something that can be easily trained out of him since he is so young.

Waldo rides well in a crate in the car, but he does enjoy watching this big ol’ world zoom by outside his window as well.  During his trip to the vet’s office, he was rather shy, but we don't blame him as not many humans are stoked to go to the doctor's office either with the uncomfy chairs and that odd paper thing you have to sit on the table/bed thing.  He is rather curious about loud noises and usually goes to inspect what was making all the racket.  His favorite things in the world are his human and his toys, they are just the best ever in Waldo’s eyes.

During Waldo’s time in foster, he has been working diligently on No, Sit, Down, and Stay.  Since he is so young it would be difficult to have these mastered, but he is trying his little puppy heart out.  His training is going well and all the correction that is needed is usually a firm “No”.  We think there is some “herder” breed in Waldo since he does the herding nip from time to time, this is something that will need some training on.  Fair warning, he is teething and almost everything he comes across seems like a chew ty to him at this age.  With a little redirection from furniture, shoes, clothes, etc. to a more appropriate toy is the training program in place for now and seems to be going well.

Waldo would enjoy a forever home with another dog to help him learn how to be a productive canine member of society as well.  Small children and other small animals are probably not the best for this guy as he is still learning the ropes of being a dog.  He loves his foster’s 9-year-old kid and other respectable kids as well.  So, if you think Waldo is a good fit for you and you are up for the puppy training please send in your Waldo application!
