Twister is an athletic girl who loves to travel and go on road trips with her person / family.  She has been noted to be very gentle with new human friends including little humans as well.  Want to know more?  You’ll have to keep reading to find out!

If Twister was a human and had one of our pesky human jobs, her foster thinks that she would be a great executive assistant for a high-powered business CEO.  She has an affinity for wanting to know what is going on all the time around her and will offer her help with nearly anything you are doing.  Aside from wanting to be involved with every single thing you do; she also believes that she is the life of the party. #AllPartiesNotJustHerLittlePersonalOne  Her foster said when Twister is part of your day to day life it is like you can see her “smile” just being around her human as she glows with happiness.

She is a typical Malinois aka Velcro dog that bonds very strongly to a primary person in the household.  #ThisIsMyHumanThereAreManyLikeItButThisOneIsMine  When meeting new people she can be cautious, but still polite during the introduction period.  Once she knows they are a good egg, it is all over. She will be leaning all over them wanting all the pets and attention she can muster.  Around the house she is happy just being around her person, whether it is helping with household chores, observing the daily meal prep, or just taking a nap next to them while they catch up on the latest Ted Lasso episode.  Twister has shown some protectiveness of her yard but just barking like “Yo, man this is my yard get your own”.

During Twisters time in foster, she has mastered the Here, No, and Leave it commands.  Currently she is working on mastering Sit and walking better on the leash, she doesn’t pull but hasn’t quite figured out why she cannot wrap the leash around legs during the walk.  Training for Twister is super easy since praise and treats are her main motivators, she couldn’t care less about playing with a ball but will play tug on occasion.  For correction she only needs a stern “No” and “Here” to be redirected.  She is completely house trained, sleeps quietly overnight in either the living room or bedroom, but will search for yummy morsels in the kitchen if given the opportunity.  Twister does not like being crated or kenneled, so she will need a high security crate (impact crate) due to her finding weaknesses to get herself out of them.

Twister is looking for her forever home that would suit her Velcro people pleasing needs best.  Possibly a young active family with a primary person for her to bond with, supply her with attention and continue her training.  She would love to sleep in your bed if you would let her take up 99.9% of your bed.  Additionally, she would love to have another dog to play with and maybe some kids as well since she does well with both!  For formal dog activities or sports that she could excel in would be obedience, rally, and possibly scent/nose work.  If you think Twister would fit your household and lifestyle, please apply!
