Tana is a young lady who loves to be near people; she just wants to be with you wherever you are and do whatever you are doing.  If you want to sit and just chill out, she will come sit next to you and lean in for all of the pets that you are willing to give her.

If Tana were a human, she’d be some sort of therapist or nurse, as she always wants to show affection and provide support to her person and the people around her all the time.  For being young, she exhibits some caution around new people and places, but she is confident and will let you know if there is something off in her surroundings.  She is currently living with a resident GSD and was rather barky at her new housemate after being in the shelter environment, but after some positive reinforcement and slow introductions, she has learned that the GSD is not scary and that BFF’s come in all shapes and sizes!  #NewBFF

This girl rides crated in a car very well, can’t have her free roaming in the car as she is not old enough to drive, but is chomping at the bit to give it a shot.  City noises do not seem to bother her, she’s had exposure to kids between the ages of 9-12 and does great with them; she doesn’t even bark at the neighbor kids as they catch the school bus in the mornings.  It’s like she has figured out the neighborhood routine and is like, “Oh, there goes Jimmy and Paula off to school”.  It has been noted that she can be a bit bouncy and mouthy, but she is a puppy and is simply doing typical puppy things.

During Tana’s time in foster she has learned the Sit command.  She is still working on Stay, Come, respecting boundaries (doors, gates, etc.), and not jumping on people.  Also, she consistently goes in her crate with a treat reward and is calm in her crate if people are not home.  She sleeps soundly overnight in the crate as well. However, if people are home, she would rather be with them so will let you know by pulling at the carte door. For being a puppy, she is not overly destructive; she usually keeps herself occupied with the toys or chews that have been provided.  #ButThatShoeLooksPrettyTasty

Tana is searching for her forever home, which is pretty flexible at this point.  She will need an active home that will continue her training and maybe have a kid and another dog for her to grow up with.  So, if you are on the hunt for a puppy that is looking for a couch to hang out on with your family and resident dog, look no further than Tana!

Adoption Donation: $500.00

Transport along Interstate 5 (Rowland Heights, CA to Edmonds, WA) is available but cost not included in adoption fee.

For all inquiries, please fill out our adoption application first, as the volunteer answering emails is probably not the coordinator for the specific foster home/dog.

Thank you for visiting The Woof Project!
