Are you looking for a puppy? Well, guess what, we have the perfect one for you and his name is Ziggy. He is super smart, sweet, and eager to please his person! It has been mentioned by his foster mom that his eyes have some sort of hypnotic quality that steals the hearts of all humans that stare into them, so be forewarned. #LookIntoMyEyesAndGiveMeTreatos
If Ziggy was a human and one of our pesky bill-paying jobs his foster mom thinks that he would be some sort of professional performer via Cirque du Soleil. This young man loves to show off his acrobatic skills by tossing his toys around and trying to catch them. Also, he excels at sofa parkour and random puppy antics as well. He is the puppy equivalent of your shadow if your shadow has razor-sharp teeth and sometimes sneaks off to poop in the dining room (potty training almost complete). Since he is a puppy, his life revolves around him and his schedule which is to eat, play like a madman, become snuggly and cute, and sleep for an hour before doing it all over again. #WashRinseRepeat
During car rides Ziggy rides great in his kennel, as he is too young for a learner's permit or driver's license. He has yet to visit the vet’s office, but we are sure he will do well winning over the staff with his puppy dog eyes. Around loud noises he is scared initially but gets used to the noises quickly. Also, he might be a unicorn of a puppy as he pays no mind to the evil vacuum cleaner, nor brooms for that matter. His foster mom went out of town once and he was puppy-sat by a friend, this made him very clingy and was mentioned that he attaches to people very quickly.
During Ziggy’s time in foster, he has learned Sit, Platz (down), Outside, and Bed commands. He is still working on learning Come, Stay, and Aus (give/drop) commands as well as becoming fully potty trained. #NoMoreStinkyTootsieRollsInTheDinningRoom He has not been destructive in his foster home, other than the one corner of the couch pillow that looked mighty delicious, but his foster mom gently poked the side of his neck and told him no. Magically he stopped what he was doing and came in for some cuddles. Even though he is a puppy still he takes correction very well and is easily redirected with a crinkly-sounding toy or some praise. Sometimes he throws toddler fits and flails his little body around on the floor in protest, which usually leads to pouting and then coming back for cuddles.
Ziggy currently lives with an 8-year-old male Malinois and loves him to pieces. This young man is looking for his forever home where he could be someone’s shadow 24/7 if they would let him. If you let him on your bed he might just love you forever, currently, he sleeps in his crate overnight except for getting up to go potty in the middle of the night.
