Location: Spokane, WA

Roana is a little sweet firecracker, not so much a sour patch kid but more of a down for anything whenever type!  For her age she is relatively well mannered and does not wander from her handler.  Diamond in the rough, hidden treasure, or whatever you want to call her Roana is pretty darn awesome.

Some of the ways to describe her are curious, bouncy, sweet, and friendly.  Everything is fun for her from adventuring, getting into places she may/may not fit, chasing bugs, and trying to figure out if cats are friends or mortal enemies.  One of the things about her being bouncy is that she enjoys wholeheartedly jumping on people, which is a work in progress honing her people skills and manners.  If given the opportunity she can just chill all day with you and nap, but there are times her zoomies which must get expended.  Whenever she goes out in public, she is the talk of the town, as she has never met a stranger to include kids of all ages.

Roana rides well in the car, is well-mannered at the vets’ office where she was great and friendly with all of the staff. Loud noises sometimes scare her depending on the distance.  Over the 4th of July the first night of fireworks were far away and did not seem to bother her, but the second night of them she was not a fan of and just wanted to be cuddled. She has never destroyed anything in the home other than basic puppy stuff.  #SockStealer  House training is going well, she has only had a couple of accidents and those were mostly driven by not keeping up with her schedule.  She will stick a paw up on the counter to see what kind of yummy stuff is up there but has never once attempted to take anything from the counter nor has she raided any of the trashcans in the house.

Roana has mastered Sit, Down, and elusive Fetch (brings back item ASAP) commands.  Items that she is still working on are Off, Stay, Recall, Heel, Obedience positioning, Wait, and Load up (get in the vehicle).  Additionally, she is crate trained and enjoys time in her crate.  She can be really worked up from playing or training, and her kennel is her space to use her off switch to just chill out and take a well-deserved break.  When meeting other dogs, she has been great with them and prefers males over females.  As for socialization, as mentioned before that she has never met a stranger, she has gone to the lake, store, work, hiking, etc. without any issues this busy girl just likes being out and about.

Roana is looking for her forever home that could have kids, other dogs, and of course someone to continue her training.  As for cats she will need some supervision and training if you are planning on having cats in the home with her.  We think she would be great in a quite home or a busy home, she is very adaptable.  #RoanaTheSwissArmyKnifeOfDogs  As for possible sports she likes to jump, and her rewards are balls, food,  and she will go for a tug well, so using them as a tool for training or building sport drive would be great.  Dock diving, barn hunt, obedience, rally, agility, you name it she might be able to do it with continued training.  If you are interested in adding Roana to your home, please apply!
