Gremlin is about the most complex, yet easy dog you could ask for. He is a very easy keeper, low maintenance, and comical. He will no doubt make you laugh when the excited anticipation of going outside or playing ball causes him to get bouncy! Ball is life for Gremlin, and he will play fetch for as long as you do.

Gremlin is potty trained and knows how to go quickly in inclement weather, rides well in the car, and is unphased by loud noises. While he is crate trained, he gets anxious in his crate and will chew his blankets or suck on, chew or chase his tail. He is non-destructive in the home and has not been given any opportunity to make bad choices with getting in the trash or on tables/counters.

Gremlin is highly food motivated and has mastered sit, shake, and entering his crate. He is working on not trying to nip when the crate door is closed, or when leashing/unleashing. The use of a slip lead for walks and a squirt bottle paired with lots of treats tossed in the back of his kennel while closing the door works nicely for his foster.

Gremlin is highly engaged when playing fetch and can also entertain himself with his favorite ball. He is possessive of his ball so his person will need to use a treat as a trade. As engaged as he is, is also as independent as he is. He does not like to be petted more than 2 strokes usually, and aside from playing fetch, just wants to stick to himself.

Gremlin has been friendly, flirty, and fun when around female dogs smaller than him. He does not do well with dogs larger than him and has not been exposed to cats, other animals or children.

Gremlins' ideal home is with someone who doesn't mind having a dog that they can't constantly pet and that will not push his buttons. He truly ONLY wants to be left alone or play ball. His foster thinks he probably doesn't really need a crate either which may help solve some of his issues when the door is being closed. He must live in a calm and predictable house free of children, male dogs, or dogs larger than him.
