Gizmo is smart, eager to please, and is a great snuggler once she has expelled some energy! Confident, yet cautious, she sticks close to her person and seeks reassurance in new situations. Gizmo is curious and observant of her surroundings and remains attentive to her handler while taking it all in. This girl aims to please and craves praise and affection which makes it a breeze for training. She loves to be challenged with learning new tasks, so needs a person with plenty of dog skill to continue her training and set her up for long term success.

Gizmo is cautious with new people and may bark until she is comfortable. She has been exposed to many dogs of all ages and sizes and has done well. However, her prey drive kicks in when small critters run, so will either need a home free of small animals or have a handler well versed in managing prey drive. Gizmo would do best with older, dog-savvy kids.

Gizmo is still a baby, so is working on becoming proficient in all her skills. Continued work with crate training and helping her learn to self soothe is imperative. She loves connecting with her person, will work for food or praise, and simple verbal correction is enough to stop unwanted behavior. She has not been given the opportunity to be destructive and is provided with plenty of toys and things to chew on.

If you are looking for a smart, active, busy girl, look no further! Gizmo is waiting to be your sidekick for all of life’s adventures and will be sure to keep you laughing with her silly facial expressions when she gets the zoomies. With her desire to please, smarts, and stamina, she may love to try many dog sports as well.
