Do you need a snuggle buddy for the upcoming dark and chilly winter months?  Well, Kyro might be your guy!  He loves to snuggle and get as close to you as physically possible.  His dark eyes just suck you in with that Malinois charm, as to say, “I would sit closer to you if I could”.

If Kyro was a human, he could hold a bevy of jobs like a computer programmer as he likes to solve problems.  Possibly a chew toy quality control engineer as he is well-versed in taking his toys to the limit.  He could be a professional snuggler as he loves human touch and connection.  Other options are a security officer since wherever you go he goes and a ball boy for a tennis match since ya know #BallIsLife.  This youngster is just a joy to be around and wants nothing more than to be next to his human and make sure they are happy with him.  He is not a couch potato and enjoys playing tug and fetch any chance he can get. Clear boundaries are needed, and non-repetitive play required since he can become overstimulated.

Kyro has shown some curiosity towards other people and animals and has shown small glimmers of self-control such as going to the pet store and not eating the bucket of treats that were at eye level. He has not been tested with children. If he hears a strange noise outside, he will alert bark, but that is about it.  Cats pique his curiosity, but not in a concerning way. During his walks, he has been around alpacas and chickens which did not seem to bother him nor was he anything more than moderately curious about them. He loves getting in the car, but the movement of traveling can make him a bit uneasy and cause him to bark. Loud noises do not seem to bother him other than looking around to see what made up all the racket.

Kyro has mastered the Sit, Down, Den, No, Free, and Touch commands.  He is still working on Recall, Place, Give, Heel, Leave it, All done, Back up, and Look commands.  Additionally, he is working on redirection after getting overwhelmed during playtime, respecting thresholds like doors, and not being pushy for affection.  Kyro is crate-trained but is not the world's biggest fan of being in his crate.  He is destructive of toys but nothing else in the house, granted he is not allowed to run amuck without direct supervision. He is also working on not resource guarding the cat food. As for correction, he works best with simple verbal correction and with calm handling and solid redirection these should be nipped in the bud in no time.

Kyro is looking for an active family who will include him in many adventures. He will need a handler able to set him up for success with clear boundaries and plenty of structure. Continued training is required as he is still a young guy figuring the world out and will test boundaries if allowed. This handsome guy is a gem and with a bit more polishing he will be the most dedicated companion you could ask for.
