ABOUT ANYA

Gender: Female

Age: 6 months

Weight: 32 lbs

Energy Level: Moderate

Overall Drive: Moderate

Location: Olympia, WA

Anya is a playful energetic pup who just wants to pal around with her people. She is up for playing fetch, tug, walks, or cuddling on the couch. If she was human she would be an aerobic instructor. She is fill of positive energy!

Anya has been friendly with everyone she has met. She does great meeting other dogs but doesn't always take the hint when they've had enough. She is doing well with the foster's cat but needs reminders to be more gentle. Anya will nap in the car, is very friendly with the staff at the vet, and is generally unfazed by loud noises. She is easily motivated by praise or foo, and requires minimal correction. Anya also does well with redirection when she is doing something she's not supposed to be. She is not destructive but her foster home has been providing a lot of outlets, like Kongs and other chew toys. She knows 'sit' 'here' and 'look'. She is working on 'down' 'heel' not putting her paws on the counter, and not jumping on people.

Anya would do well in an active home who can continue her training and socialization. She would make a great nosework dog, possibly agility or competitive obedience. She has a great off switch in the house as long as she gets her workout in.

West Coast adoptions only, HOWEVER, if application is strong we may consider placement in other Western US states.

Must have no children under the age of 12 years old OR have extensive experience with children and high drive dogs.

Our adoption process includes- completion of an application, followed by a telephone interview. If that goes well, we will arrange for a home visit.

Adoption Donation: $500.00

Transport along Interstate 5 (Bakersfield, CA to Bellingham, WA) is available but cost not included in adoption fee.

For all inquiries, please fill out our adoption application first, as the volunteer answering emails is probably not the coordinator for the specific foster home/dog.
