Ralph is the kind of dog who makes you exhale and smile the moment he leans into you. He’s a gentle, affectionate soul who truly believes his life’s purpose is to be close to his person and preferably cuddled up in a warm bed. Sweet, soft, and delightfully nonchalant, Ralph can do no wrong. He’ll even stand up on his hind legs to give you hugs, because obviously that’s how love should be expressed.

If Ralph were human, he’d be a friendly train station attendant; quietly helpful, always kind, never in a rush. While we don’t know much about his past, it’s clear he’s learning what it means to be doted on, and he’s very into it. At home, he craves affection and reassurance. Out in the world, he’s easygoing and unbothered. He ignores other people and dogs, walks nicely (still polishing those leash skills), and handles new environments well.

Ralph currently lives with four other dogs and is wonderful with them. He’s house trained, crate trained, non-destructive, and well-mannered at the vet. Loud noises don’t faze him, and while he can be a little nervous in the car at first, he settles in and rides just fine. His biggest motivators are food and affection, making him a joy to work with as he continues learning and building confidence.

Ralph is an easy guy with easy needs. His ideal home is simple: someone who wants a loyal sidekick, enjoys nice long walks, believes dogs belong in the bed, and has plenty of love to give. Ralph is a true “go-along” dog - happy to be wherever you are, as long as he’s close.
