Bella - URGENT NEED
Bella has been waiting. And waiting. And waiting.
This beautiful 6yr old girl has spent the last 8 months in the shelter after losing her home when her owner lost housing. Despite everything, Bella has remained remarkably resilient thanks to a consistent routine and dedicated volunteers who make sure she gets the enrichment she thrives on.
Bella is the definition of a working dog. Her favorite thing in the world is using her nose and observing her environment. Daily neighborhood walks, checking on the local horses, coyotes, crows, and other wildlife, and investigating every scent are what make her happiest. She isn’t looking for dog parks or endless games of fetch, she’s looking for a job and a person who understands her.
She rides beautifully in a crate in the car, walks politely in public, passes people and dogs without issue, and is focused on her mission when out and about. While she can walk alongside other dogs, she prefers her personal space and does best with slow controlled intros, she could also be fine as the only dog in the home.
After 8 long months in a kennel, Bella deserves a couch, a routine, and a chance to decompress in a foster home.
