Maya

~DOB: 9/1/2023

Weight: 43lbs

Energy Level: Moderate

Overall Drive: High

Location: Flagstaff, AZ

Maya is the ultimate “Malinois imposter”:  all the athleticism, intelligence, and adventure-ready energy you’d expect, but her DNA results revealed something way cooler: she’s half Xoloitzcuintli (Mexican Hairless Dog) and half Husky. Basically, she’s a rare collectible in dog form.

This stunning girl turns heads everywhere she goes with her exotic look and calm, confident presence. Underneath that mysterious exterior is a total sweetheart who wants nothing more than to be near her people. Maya is the kind of dog who makes everyday life feel more exciting; whether she’s crushing miles on the trail, riding shotgun to your next adventure, or quietly checking on you first thing in the morning.

She’s smart, affectionate, and impressively well-mannered:

  •  Potty trained

  •  Sleeps through the night

  •  Great with dogs and new people

  •  Excellent recall

  •  Car ride pro

  •  Non-reactive and confident

  •  Knows sit, down, paw, come, and doggie

Maya thrives in an active home where she can hike, run, bike, ski, or explore with her humans. She’s calm and respectful indoors after exercise, but she definitely wants to be part of your world and for sure not left behind.

Honestly, if your idea of happiness includes a loyal shadow, an adventure partner, and a dog everyone stops to ask about… Maya is your girl. Whoever adopts her is going to wonder how they ever lived without her.

Our adoption process includes- completion of an application, followed by a telephone interview.

Adoption Donation: $500.00

Transport is available but the cost is not included in the adoption fee.

For all inquiries, please fill out our adoption application first, as the volunteer answering emails is probably not the coordinator for the specific foster home/dog.
