Meet Leela!
Leela is a 65lb bundle of love who’s equal parts counselor, comedian, and cushion architect. She believes every blanket deserves to be fluffed, every pillow deserves a toss, and every couch needs a “perfectly engineered” nest. When she’s done, she’ll proudly flash her big smile and wag her happy tail, ready for you to admire her masterpiece.
She’s wonderfully people-oriented, making friends of all shapes and sizes (she even “manned the benches” at a fair and graciously let kids play show dog with her). With dogs, she can come in a little strong at first, but she quickly finds her groove and then it’s playtime. While she does have a bit of prey drive when little animals dart, she responds well to a firm “leave it” and really just wants to be included in whatever you’re doing.
Leela rides great in the car, thinks the vet is just another buddy, and isn’t fazed by loud noises. Indoors, she’s house-trained, crate-trained (though she’ll tell you her opinions for a few minutes), and curious in the best goofy way sometimes checking if your spatula is actually meant for her. She’s learning leash manners and loves being rewarded with food, praise, or cuddles.
If Leela were human, she’d be a counselor - gentle, attentive, and always there for you through ups and downs. She’s not the “wild child” most expect from her breed, think more lab-in-a-Malinois-body. She’d thrive in a family or single-person home that wants a loyal companion who’s happy to dabble in adventure but equally thrilled to lounge by your side. Leela’s favorite thing? Simple: being with you.

Transport along Interstate 5 (Stevenson Ranch, CA to Edmonds, WA) is available but cost not included in adoption fee.
