Meet Fender: Part-Time Adventurer, Full-Time Professional Lounger
Hi, I’m Fender! I’m a 68-pound gentleman with a simple philosophy: work smarter, nap harder. If you’re looking for a dog who needs a full-time personal trainer, a dozen tennis balls, and a job in national security, I’m probably not your guy. I’m more of a “let’s take a nice walk, have something for a snack, and then discuss our plans for the couch” kind of employee.
I’m an affectionate, sweet boy who loves pets, food, and praise. I can join you for a hike or happily spend the afternoon relaxing. Flexibility is my specialty!
I’m a little shy when meeting new people, so I prefer to get comfortable at my own pace rather than immediately throwing myself into your arms. Well, I want to throw myself into your arms. Sometimes I even bounce my front paws because I’m not entirely sure I have permission. It’s called having manners. Look it up.
I’m house-trained, crate-trained, and already know my name, sit, down, and how to walk nicely on a leash. I’m working on place, stays, and nail trims. I’m also food-motivated, so continuing my education should be relatively painless. For you, anyway.
My dream home is calm and peaceful, with occasional visitors and humans who appreciate a laid-back companion. I may need some help building confidence and learning to feel comfortable alone, so crate training and a gradual routine will be important. My compatibility with other dogs and kids still needs to be assessed.
So, if your ideal roommate is sweet, easygoing, and willing to exchange affection for absolutely no overtime, I’m ready to clock in for life. Apply to adopt me!
Love, Fender
Our adoption process includes- completion of an application, followed by a telephone interview.
Adoption Donation: $500.00
