ABOUT ZITA

~DOB: 11/20/2022

Weight: 22 pounds

Energy Level: Moderate

Overall Drive: High

Location: Petaluma, CA

Zita is the epitome of fun! She is sassy, eager to please, loves to learn, has impeccable eye contact, and enjoys doing anything to make you laugh. She will run and bounce, chase her tail, and makes the silliest sounds as if she is trying to talk to you. Zita is curious yet cautious and will survey new situations in a thoughtful manner. She loves to love and be loved – belly runs are a favorite of hers and she even has a nice off switch.

Zita has met many visitors to the home and has been social and playful with all. When the human baby in the home is crying, Zita will often howl to alert that something is wrong. She has been social with the other dogs she lives with, but slow, controlled introductions to new dogs is always important. She has not met any cats and has seen livestock in the distance with no reactivity noted.

Zita is still a baby so working diligently on potty and crate training, as well as mastering her basic skills. She is well-mannered at the vets’ office, unphased by loud noises, and seeks to explore new territory with encouragement. She does get carsick, so a crate is recommended for any travel. Zita responds well to verbal correction and is most motivated by treats and affection. She has not been given the opportunity to be destructive but does love to chew on dog-appropriate items.

Zita is looking for an active home that is willing and able to set her up for success by having clear boundaries, structure, and continued training as she matures. She would do well with other dog friends, even children when supervised. With her love for engagement, desire to please, and athleticism, she may do well in a variety of sports. If you are looking for a perfect puppy to share your world with, she will give you her entire world and shine and sparkle like the diamond she is!
