Look out, world…..here comes Zeo! He is highly engaged and ready to play, play, play. He has a ton of energy, but not so much spatial awareness so can come across a bit obnoxious. BUT, through formal education he is learning manners, not to climb up his handler and be so bouncy. This gorgeous, resilient boy is outwardly friendly and thriving under the proper guidance of his trainer.

If Zeo were a human, he would be a showboating football running back – frequently in trouble for running the ball down the field his way instead of following the game plan. He is athletic and wants all the attention on himself but just needs to be a team player.

​

Zeo is potty trained, crate trained, rides well in the car and is well-mannered at the vets’ office. He is motivated most by food and toys and is working to master his commands. Zeo will require a very strong handler familiar with working breeds and who can dedicate ample time to building a strong foundation of trust and respect. While he is whip smart and learns very quickly, he does require firm correction, but is never snarky with it. He walks well on a prong collar and has been conditioned to and responds well to an e-collar.

This precocious, goober of a boy is quite the character and can truly go in any direction. His ideal home will set him up for success with very clear boundaries, a highly structured environment, and plenty of opportunities to expend his physical and mental energy. He loves to use his nose and has shown much promise in nosework and tracking. If you are looking for a true partner that will give you their all, Zeo is your guy!

West Coast adoptions only, HOWEVER, if application is strong we may consider placement in other Western US states.

Must have previous or current, purebred German Shepherd experience OR other high drive working breed experience. Have no children under the age of 12 years old OR have extensive experience with children and high drive dogs.

Our adoption process includes- completion of an application, followed by a telephone interview.

Adoption Donation: $500.00

Transport along Interstate 5 (Bakersfield, CA to Bellingham, WA) is available but cost not included in adoption fee.
