Georgia is like a big teddy bear - a very agile and fast teddy bear.  She enjoys getting low to the ground and making fast cuts.  In fact, her foster thinks she would make a great football running back! She reminds him of the 49ers Christian McCaffrey.  She might not be the biggest, but she is very strong and when she first gets outdoors, she runs in elusive patterns as if someone is chasing her. #zigzagtotheendzone

Georgia exudes happiness and lives to love and be loved. Once she gets the zoomies out with you running around with her, she wants nothing more than to stick by your side like glue. Georgia is very aware of changes to her surroundings and will let you know when something is different. In fact, she recently was barking in the front yard at what appeared to be nothing. However, she was alerting to tiny grey kitten that was hiding.  So, thanks to Georgia, her foster family now has a new kitten!

Georgia accepts everyone that comes over, she does not discriminate one bit! She is wonderful with small dogs and children. Slow controlled intros to larger dogs, paired with clear boundaries and structure may help her feel more comfortable with sharing her home with a neutral male. Georgia rides well in the car, loves visiting the vets’ office, and is unphased by loud noises. She will stay quietly in her 10 x 10 kennel when needed.

She knows most of her basic commands, is non-destructive, and loves to learn. She will need a handler willing to continue her obedience training to polish her leash skills, work on mastering more advanced skills, and help her learn jumping up to give her person hugs when excited is not always the best idea. She is extremely intelligent, has a deep desire to please, and responds well to praise and toys.

This shining star is waiting for an active family who is looking for an adventure partner. She would love sharing her home with kids and the level of activity they often bring to a home. With her bouncy, zig zag running, she may not be the best fit for homes with elderly residents. While she is ok with the cats in her foster home, she is never left unattended with them. With her incredible handler focus, desire to please and level of athleticism, she may enjoy obedience, rally, or agility. If you are looking for a dog that loves to give and get hugs and thinks that everyone she meets is there for a play date, then look no further!
