Volt is the total package: smart, steady, goofy, and full of love. This handsome 2-year-old hunk is the kind of dog who’s ready to go anywhere and do anything with his person by his side. Whether you’re headed to the park, a weekend hike, or an obedience class, Volt is your “say yes to life” kind of guy. He’s eager to learn, eager to please, and eager to figure out what makes you happy.
In fact, Volt was a favorite in his training class—he happily worked for anyone holding his leash and has already mastered sit, down, stay, place, recall, hand touch, and loose leash walking. He’s crate trained, house trained, calm in the car, respectful indoors (though he’ll surf a counter if you’re not looking!), and responds quickly to verbal corrections. He’s an affectionate, environmentally neutral, people-loving dog who shines when he’s given a job.
Volt is especially fond of the ladies—he’s playful and sweet with female dogs and dog-neutral in public. At home, he can be selective with male dogs, so slow intros or a female companion are best. His personality? A gentle, clever clown who loves to fetch, train, and make you laugh when he’s off duty. But if you need space, he’ll chill with a toy and wait for his next cue.
Volt would thrive with an active, dog-savvy person who enjoys training or outdoor adventures. He’s built like a protector but has the heart of a lovebug—more likely to ask for belly rubs than be a guard dog. Whether you’re interested in nose work, bikejoring, dock diving, or just having the most well-behaved dog at the park, Volt is up for it. With Volt, you’re not just adopting a dog—you’re gaining a best friend, a training partner, and a big-hearted goofball ready to share life’s adventures.
