Vinny is the epitome of love. He is cuddly, sweet, affectionate, and loyal. He is full of life and loves to greet his person with as much exuberance as allowed. His foster is working on helping him learn to settle for greetings and engagement. Vinny is very quiet in the home and alert, but cautious in new settings. He relies on his handler to provide guidance and support, so he knows it’s ok to “check it out”. Continued work to build his confidence will help him mature further into a well-balanced pup.

Vinny is great around most other dogs and with simple correction/redirection is learning that not all dogs want to play with him. He does live with cats in his foster home and has shown a desire to play when under direct supervision. Intact male dogs attempting to assert dominance may cause him to be reactive, but he is easily redirected. A home with only female dogs may be best.

Vinny is potty trained, crate trained, rides well in the car, is well-mannered at the vets’ office and has mastered his basic skills. He is motivated most by food or treats and mild correction is sufficient to redirect unwanted behaviors. Loud noises put him on high alert, and he is slow to approach and investigate. He is still a puppy, so he is learning more every day and continues to excel.

Vinny is looking for a family who will include him on as many adventures as possible. He is a go along sort of guy and would love nothing more than to hop in the car and be your co-pilot every day. So, if you are looking for a perfectly sized travel companion, Vinny is your guy! He loves to learn, has a desire to please, and will show his happiness by getting the zoomies when he knows he’s made you proud!
