Vienna is well-balanced, agile, alert, and full of life! If she were a human, Vienna would be enrolled in college as a theater major: always ready to act to her fullest potential when on stage and trying her best to figure out her role in the word.

Vienna’s inquisitive personality would match her well to a home that provides a consistent schedule as well as structure and boundaries. She has done well with strangers with slow introductions and plenty of time for her to investigate prior to meeting them. Vienna can be reactive to dogs; however, her reactivity is mainly a result of fear. She prefers to be around new dogs first while in her crate, then gradually meet them without pressure and under the guidance of her handler. Once she is comfortable, she can do well even in a larger pack of dogs, as is the case with her current foster home. Vienna has done well at the veterinarian’s office and is doing better around loud noises each day (improving with confidence). She does best with verbal correction and has good house manners as long as she has plenty of toys to chew on. Vienna is fully crate trained and is working on mastering basic obedience and limiting mouthiness when excited or seeking attention.

Vienna would do best in an active home where she could engage in regular, controlled exercise. She would make a great gentle hiking, walking and possible low key jogging partner one fully healed and conditioned. Vienna is eager to please and engages quickly with her handler and may be a good match for someone interested in search and rescue. She will require a handler willing to provide clear and consistent guidance as she continues to mature and grow. Vienna can’t wait to be offered the starring role in your family!

West Coast adoptions only, HOWEVER, if application is strong we may consider placement in other Western US states.

Our adoption process includes- completion of an application, followed by a telephone interview. If that goes well, we will arrange for a home visit.

Adoption Donation: $500.00

Transport along Interstate 5 (Bakersfield, CA to Bellingham, WA) is available but cost not included in adoption fee.

For all inquiries, please fill out our adoption application first, as the volunteer answering emails is probably not the coordinator for the specific foster home/dog.

Thank you for visiting The Woof Project!
