VeeGee is a gorgeous young dog with lots of love to give. She loves her people and her BALL! In fact, if she were human, she would be a tennis ball caddy- retrieving the ball is her greatest joy and she can leap to catch it- her leap is quite the showstopper! VeeGee is friendly, confident, playful, and vigilant. She thrives on a schedule and knowing what her job is, but once it’s time to play she’s all bounce!

VeeGee is initially tentative with new people but warms up very fast. She’s a little too pushy for kids as she also is a mouthy girl with those who don’t have strong boundaries. VeeGee has high prey drive and cannot live with cats or small animals. VeeGee is dog selective, requires slow introductions, and may do well living with a neutral male of similar size. Aside from ball, tug, or physical affection, she loves to CHEW!! She will chew anything she can get her mouth on so providing her with animal bones to gnaw on several times a day and making sure she gets enough exercise can help mitigate this.

VeeGee is potty trained, crate trained, rides well in the car, and is well-mannered at the vets’ office. She is extremely confident, unphased by loud noises, and learns very quickly. She will require a strong handler, or she will push boundaries. She will need to be shown that rules still apply in her new home and does best with clear boundaries and structure.  She will also resource guard- she’s not terrible with people but exercise caution with other dogs- she cannot share the ball, food resources, or tolerate another dog near her crate.

Vee Gee would love an active family with time to exercise her body and her brain. She will thrive in a home with an interest in training and would be a great beginner sport dog for a variety of sports - she has the drive and loves to work! A tall fence is critical if you plan to have her in a yard without direct supervision as she is very strong and can clear a 6 ft. fence with ease.
