Valli is the sweetest and happiest girl that you will ever meet!  Not only does her tail wag sunup to sun down, she also is quite the collector of kisses throughout the day as well.  So, if you are looking for a lady that is past the puppy destruction phase of life and wants to hang out with her human, maybe Valli is the one you are looking for!

If Valli was a human,  she would make a great professional ball player since #BallIsLife.  Or she would make a solid private investigator as she loves to use her nose to find things.  When she first came into foster care she had a bad ear infection, but she let the vet handle her and inspect her swollen ears without the slightest of fuss.  Valli is just a happy dog that loves meeting new people and will greet them politely as well!  If it was up to her, life would revolve around her ball and swimming in the pool.  #SoundsLikeTheDream  When she needs a break from all of the fetch she will dunk her whole head in the kiddie pool or just lay down in it as her chill off spot, before wanting to play more.  If you sit on the floor or the couch, she will want to cuddle with you until you tell her “off”, she will also push her nose into you to say “hey I’d enjoy some more lovin’”.

Valli has been great around both men and women, she did wonderfully when meeting her foster’s dog trainer.  She has not been tested with kids but her foster thinks that she would be fine with older respectful kids and was very gentle with them at a shelter event.  During car rides she loads up in her kennel without delay and has never had any issues with car sickness.  When meeting new dogs she would be considered “neutral” and will ignore dogs that are barking while on walks or reacting to her.  Her foster has two male Malinois that she gets along with but has yet to engage in play with either of them despite their efforts.  The younger male she corrected quickly when he got in her face, and then went back to being neutral.  When outside of the house on walks, she has alerted to cats and squirrels, but shows no signs of wanting to chase them.

During Valli’s time in foster she has mastered the Sit, Down, Kennel, and Step/Hup commands.  She is currently working on the Heel, Out, Off commands and some leash manners.  Loud noises are not an issue with her and she does great at the vet’s office.  #EveryoneLovesValli  During training she is motivated by cheese #ArentWeAll, and her ball as a reward. She can be a little pushy for affection or wanting to play fetch, she pulls a little out of excitement on the leash when it is walk time but she settles soon into the walk.  If there is something yummy on the counter, she might just take a swipe at it, and in the beginning there was some stress chewing of balls but nothing since she has decompressed.

Valli is looking for her forever home that could be a single person, couple, family with older respectful kids and maybe even a polite other dog in the home.  She is an active girl that will take some exercise daily to burn off some energy, but it is not over the top crazy.  Additionally, with her drive she could excel in sports such as dock diving, fetch, rally, and possibly nose work.  So if you’re looking for a polite lady that just needs a little polishing to make shine, you’ve already found her!  Just apply!
