Arlo is a goofy, super playful pup and just wants to be your best friend in the whole wide world! He thrives on human affection and attention so be prepared for a stage 47 clinger! This young man is a whole lot of fun in a perfectly sized package and just needs some structure and guidance to be the best dog ever.
If Arlo was a human his foster thinks that he would make a great kindergarten teacher, as he loves to play with everyone and everything. #BigKidInDogBody He has done fine around every stranger he has ever met and is super playful with them! We are unsure how he would be around cats or other dogs since he has not had too many chances to be exposed to them during his foster time. During his vet’s office visit, he was a bit energetic and distracted, but we are sure it was due to everything being new to him and he just wanted to show everyone how excited he was to be there! #MrWigglePants
Arlo is very curious about loud noises and sometimes he will go check them out. Other times he is a bit scared of them and just wants to hide, this might be due to the frequency of the noise generated or its proximity to where he is, so we are unsure about that. His favorite thing to do is run, so if you are looking for a running partner, this is the guy for you! He is still working on his house manners, so dedicated training time is required. He aims to please and is working diligently to master all his basic skills.
His foster is unsure if he is a counter surfer since he has never been afforded the opportunity to #Cowabunga up onto the counter. However, if there was a tasty steak up there, we are pretty sure Arlo would install himself upon the countertop. Clear boundaries and plenty of structure will help him continue to make good choices. Arlo’s thrives on positive reinforcement and praise is his biggest reward. He doesn’t seem to care about much else going on as long as his person thinks he is the best boy in the whole world!
Arlo is looking for an active family that can include him in lots of adventures, show him the ropes of “how to dog” properly, and set him up for success with continued training. He may enjoy the company of another playful and neutral dog. This guy is a diamond in the rough and with just a bit more polishing he will be shining brighter than you could ever have imagined!
Our adoption process includes- completion of an application, followed by a telephone interview.

Transport along Interstate 5 (Rowland Heights, CA to Edmonds, WA) is available but cost not included in adoption fee.
