Do you ever sit back at work and think "I wish I had a best friend at home waiting for some cuddles when I get off work"? Well, that daydream can be fulfilled with the addition of Tanvi!
Tanvi is a mixed-breed young lady that is eager to please and loves being around people and other dogs! She is eager to lead with tons of kisses to say "hello" to both two and four-legged friends. We are not too sure if she is going to continue growing or not, but one thing is for sure and that is she is 72 lbs. of pure love. If Tanvi had a job, she would be a greeter at a store, as she is always happy to see you. She does well with adults, kids, and dogs but is not a fan of cats or other small animals as she would like nothing more than to chase them.
Currently, at her foster home, she has mastered the commands Sit, Paw, and Wait. Other commands she is currently working on becoming a master of are Down, Jump up (onto objects), Recall and Place. She has an amazing nose and would excel at nose work activities #SnifferIsStrongWithThisGirl. Barn Hunt could be another option as a sport for her with the drive for small animals and strong nose. Additionally, she loves playing fetch and will retrieve it until you get tired. Tanvi is very food motivated and will work for food during training sessions. She is a fast learner and picks up on new skills without much direction.
Tanvi is happy to take car rides and is friendly at the vet's office as well. Most loud noises do not seem to bother her as she is more inquisitive of them vice frightened of them. She was not a fan of the fireworks over the 4th of July, they were very scary for her. There is a possibility that noise tolerance gets better over time with positive reinforcement, but the 4th of July is a scary time for most dogs. Tanvi is house and crate trained and will find her crate for nap time all on her own. Her one vice is that she loves shoes #GirlDontWeAll. She likes to steal them, but a strong verbal correction "drop it or leave it" is all it takes to foil these masterly planned footwear heists.
Tanvi will do well in an active home where she can get plenty of exercise both mental and physical, a human/family that has patience for continuing her training and the energy to embrace her excitable self. If you think you have that home and some zip left in your throwing shoulder, then you have already found the perfect dog in Tanvi!
