Tadole Terry, yep you read it correctly this guy has quite the name and personality to match!  Enthusiastic, loving, and incredibly smart I mean who wouldn’t want that in a man right?  He enjoys playing and cuddling and is eager to work to learn new things.  Sounds too good to be true right?  Well, let us add on the fact that he is dog-neutral and engages with his handler with near zero effort.  If you want to know more, you are going to have to keep reading!

If Tadpole Terry was human his foster thinks that he would be a perfect Trader Joe’s employee since he is upbeat, willing to be super helpful, and always gives 110% with any task assigned.  This fella is confident in multiple environments and his desire to play/learn is extremely high as he loves the attention that training time brings around.  As a matter of fact, he will actually bring you his leash and your jacket as a prompt to train/play/walk him.  When out and about in public he has been good in stores, restaurants, and at his foster’s running club.  When meeting new people he can be a little standoff-ish and wants to give you a good sniff before allowing any further affection.  #ImTheSameBro

During car rides, Tadpole Terry rides great both in his crate and loose in the car.  The vet’s office visit happened before arriving at foster care but the report was, he did well during the visit.  Loud noises do not seem to bother him at all either.  He does have some prey drive in him, and he does not jive with the resident cat and has to be redirected repeatedly, or else he really locks in on the cat.  Additionally, he has not been introduced to children either.

During Tadpole Terry’s time in foster, he has mastered Sit, Down, Stay, and Between (between legs) commands.  He is also working on Bed, Crate, Drop it, and waiting at boundaries (doors).  For training time, he is very food-motivated and thrives on praise as well.  When he does require correction just firm verbal corrections are required, he has started e-collar training as well (due to fixation on the resident cat).  He has never been destructive in the house and is potty trained as well.  Additionally, he is crate-trained so check that block as well.

Tadpole Terry is searching for his forever home where he can spend a lot of time with his humans and continue his training with them as well.  He would probably be fine with older kids, as he is a little rambunctious for younger ones we think.  Going on adventures, cuddling on the couch, sleeping in his humans’ bed, and having an active outlet for his energy like a running buddy or other furry friend to play with would be awesome.  So, if your home is missing a furry companion that just wants to be loved, apply to give Tadpole Terry his forever home!
