Lady

2.5yrs old

62#

Spayed Female

This Not-So-Little Lady is spunky, silly and game! She loves engaging with her person, learning new things, and having fun!

By game, we mean whatever you want to throw at her–she is there! In her photos you can see her…learning ‘chipmunk’…playing frisbee…participating in the ‘’what is longer—my ear or my tongue?’ contest (it was a tie!)

Lady was surrendered to a shelter when her family moved and couldn’t take her with them. She quickly became a favorite of shelter staff and volunteers because she loved to play fetch with EVERYONE! They knew she needed a “job”, so they called us! Lady is working daily with our training team as we continue to learn about her and introduce her to all kinds of fun activities. She excels at playing “fetch”, LOVES a good game of tug, and just met the frisbee (and loved that too). She’s a confident girl that enjoys going out in the world and meeting new people to play fetch with (theme developing here). She’s been participating in play groups with other dogs, going on outings around town, learning cooperative care skills, and of course basic obedience and leash skills. She really enjoys learning, would do well in an active companion or sport home, and could excel in nose work or possibly a detection job.

As with most of our dogs, she would love to run, bike, hike, train, play, learn and be with you. She is very energetic and would make a wonderful active companion. She is very social but might be too much for cats and smaller dogs. Due to her high energy and size, kids in the home should be middle school and older. Something she wants everyone to know…she LOVES peanut butter (that’s not necessarily a bad thing…!)

For those of you with Shepherd experience, you would immediately recognize her intelligence, loyalty and learning ability, which are all the common things we love about our Shepherds! This Lady is lucky enough to have them all!
