Simba is a sweet and silly boy who loves to be a part of everything and especially loves his brother Buddy who is also available for adoption. While his brother is a more serious, very typical ball-driven shepherd, Simba feels like the hyperactive, goofy, younger brother who looks up to his older brother.

Simba is a big puppy! While he finds comfort in Buddy, he can thrive with his own people as long as they provide confidence, structure, and ALL of the adventures. Simba loves to play with everyone including dogs and kids, but he would be a better fit for older kids due to his energy and size. At home, he can appear protective of his home towards strangers, but he really just wants to play! Besides playing, Simba enjoys swimming, walks, hiking, and running because he wants to explore everything! Currently, he knows some of his basic obedience but is also working on his recall and some more intermediate skills like ‘place’ and ‘center’! Simba has behaved well indoors and is crate-trained and accustomed to outdoor kennels. Given the opportunity, he’d probably explore the counters and trash. His worst habits are frequent barking and chewing dog beds, but he responds well to corrections and should get better with training and time.

Simba would do best with a family with at least one confident adult handler to provide him with boundaries as he isn’t afraid to be pushy. He would also love to live with his brother and human kids over the age of 6. The family should be large enough to provide the attention he craves as well as the exercise he needs to keep him well-behaved.

Simba eats 3 cups of Purina One Chicken and Rice twice a day.
