Rumble's most attractive feature is his big smile. This boy always looks happy and loves showing off his teeth. When he is not in his crate or on his mat, he would prefer to be touching you even if it is just a paw touching your foot. He can take a minute or two to warm up, but once those few minutes are up he will be in your corner for life and is a total love. This goofy boy would be a comedian if her were human and is always doing funny quirky things to make you laugh. He is outgoing, isn’t shy and just a big puppy and with that comes some clumsiness.
Rumble is curious and can be cautious in the first 3-5 minutes of trying/meeting something/someone new and can be a bit unsure of what is expected of him. He knows the difference between right and wrong and is always willing to try new things so will need gentle guidance to succeed and ensure he understands what is expected. He is good with kids of all ages but is still young and doesn’t realize how big her is so direct supervision is important.
Rumble occasionally gets a little grumpy around other dogs trying to assert their dominance when off leash. He just wants to play all the time and has not learned to stop pestering when the other dogs get annoyed. If they try and correct him, he will match the correction. While Rumble would prosper in a home where he can shine as an only dog, it is not a requirement. He does better with neutral female dogs and smaller dogs.
He is potty trained, crate trained, rides well in the car, is well-mannered at the vets’ office, and unfazed by loud noises. Rumble has been non-destructive, prefers human interaction over toys, is highly food motivated, and has mastered his basic and some intermediate skills. A stern voice is usually enough to redirect and correct. He has also been conditioned to an E collar and prong collar and responds well to both.
Rumble is a little bit of a goofball but not to the point of being obnoxious. He needs to know he is loved and important to his owner to be the best version of himself. His ideal home would provide plenty of activities that help keep him busy and motivated. He’s a smart boy and just needs the opportunity to shine!
