Ripley is the perfect mix of playful and chill. She’s happy to go with the flow; lay on her bed, go for a walk, or play. She will often be seen carrying around her favorite toy, and she has a smile that will get you smiling right back. Those seeking guard dogs need not apply, she will greet visitors with a wagging tail.

Ripley is wonderful with people both inside and outside her home. Her favorite pastime is chewing, and she will chew on her toys nearly all day. Ripley is intuitive and sensitive and will comfort her family in times of stress. She tends to remember what she isn’t supposed to do and doesn’t typically repeat the negative behavior again. Ripley has done well with the other dogs in her foster home with slow introduction and some required firm corrections. She has a dominant personality which might not mix well in a home with another dominant dog, especially another female. Ripley’s high prey drive means she would do best in a home free from small animals, including cats. She rides well in the car, is well-behaved at the veterinarian’s office, and does well with most loud noises (aside from fireworks). Ripley has almost mastered basic obedience and is working on not pulling when on leash, not playing too roughly with other dogs in her foster home and staying off the kitchen counters. Ripley is fully house, and crate trained.

Ripley loves people and she loves affection, and her ideal home would be one where she could receive as much attention from her people as possible. She doesn’t require much exercise and is a pretty easy-going girl. She’d be an ideal candidate for someone looking for a therapy or emotional support dog. Overall, Ripley is just ready for her forever – whether it be as a running partner, cuddle buddy, or something in between!

West Coast adoptions only, HOWEVER, if application is strong we may consider placement in other Western US states.

Our adoption process includes- completion of an application, followed by a telephone interview. If that goes well, we will arrange for a home visit.

Adoption Donation: $400.00

Transport along Interstate 5 (Bakersfield, CA to Bellingham, WA) is available but cost not included in adoption fee.

For all inquiries, please fill out our adoption application first, as the volunteer answering emails is probably not the coordinator for the specific foster home/dog.
