Gender: Female

Weight: 35lbs.

Energy Level: Low

Overall Drive: Moderate

Location: Huntington Beach, CA

Malinois mix? Husky mix? Puppy forever? Reckless is an adorable little Malinois imposter and at only 35 lbs, will stay small and puppy-like forever. Technically, Reckless is a Central Asian Village Dog. Reckless is affectionate, loves to cuddle and follow her human around everywhere they go… including the bathroom. Anytime you get up to go somewhere, you can bet Reckless will be right by your side. She also loves the sun, the beach and is happiest laying out on the porch in whatever sliver of sunshine she can find. She’s definitely a great tanning buddy!

Reckless is shy at first, but once she warms up to you, you’re her new best friend. Although shy, Reckless is extremely confident and nothing scares her. She is a great guard dog and will let you know if there is anyone near or outside the property. Reckless love other dogs, big and small, male or female, but absolutely adores other little dogs her size. She does have very high prey drive so a home free of small animals is required.

Food is life for this pup and has helped her become proficient in her basic skills. A firm ‘no’ is enough to redirect or stop unwanted behavior. She is crate trained, potty trained, LOVES the car, is well-mannered at the vets’ office and unphased by loud noises. She does resource guard with toys and bones but is fine as long as she and the other dog are watched. Reckless will scratch at you if it’s time for food or if she wants attention and she can be a bit mouthy when playing.

Her ideal home would be with someone home often, and not looking for a high energy pup. She enjoys walks, but 30 minutes is ample time. A calm and predictable home free of chaos and lots of new visitors is best. If you are looking for the perfect travel-sized companion to comb the beaches with, look no further!
