Rambo is the best buddy you could ask for! All he wants is to be by his person’s side, up for anything, especially his favorite – Netflix and chill. If he were a human, he’d be that loving grandfather who loves nothing more than to tell the same stories over and over again. He is loyal to everyone he meets!

Eager to please, attention-seeking, and lovable, Rambo has all of the good qualities of a family dog. He is very friendly with new people, adults, and older children. He also does well with dogs of any size, large livestock, and even cats! He rides well in the car, does great at the veterinarian’s office, and is managed with very little verbal correction. Rambo is a little nervous around loud noises, especially gunshots and fireworks. Rambo prefers to be shut in a room versus being in a kennel but is fully crate trained. He has mastered basic obedience.

Rambo would love a calmer home where he could relax and enjoy his golden years. He has some elbow arthritis so will need slower, controlled activity and walks. Rambo is up for whatever low-key activity his family might be interested in and would love nothing more than to just be a professional couch potato!

West Coast adoptions only, HOWEVER, if application is strong we may consider placement in other Western US states.

Must have previous or current, purebred German Shepherd experience OR other high drive working breed experience. Have no children under the age of 12 years old OR have extensive experience with children and high drive dogs.

Our adoption process includes- completion of an application, followed by a telephone interview. If that goes well, we will arrange for a home visit.

Adoption Donation: $500.00

Transport along Interstate 5 (Bakersfield, CA to Bellingham, WA) is available but cost not included in adoption fee.

For all inquiries, please fill out our adoption application first, as the volunteer answering emails is probably not the coordinator for the specific foster home/dog.
