ABOUT QUINCY

DOB: ~04/01/2019

Weight: 57lbs

Energy level: High

Overall drive: Moderate

Location: La Center, WA

Quincy is a loving, devoted boy who aims to please. He will happily join you on a hike or for chores in the yard, but equally loves to snuggle up for some one-on-one attention and as many pets as he can!  This balanced boy is Velcro when he (or you!) needs it, can go out and explore on his own, but will return to your side with a simple whistle or when you call his name.

Quincy is very curious, albeit a bit shy when he meets new people but warms up quickly. He is confident and energetic in a fun and appropriate way. Once he is comfortable, he loves to just hang out and relax in the house.  Quincy loves to play with dogs of similar size when introduces properly. He does have high prey drive, however, and will not be placed in a home with small animals or livestock.

Quincy is potty trained, crate trained, rides will in the car, is not destructive, and is well-mannered at the vets’ office. Loud noises will cause a slight startle, but he recovers quickly. He has mastered his basic commands, is motivated most by treats and praise, stern verbal correction is sufficient.

Quincy’s ideal home will be moderately active and be able to set him up for continued success with clear boundaries and structure. Stock up on squeaky toys as those are his favorite, but no need to get any balls for him since he isn’t a fan! He would do well in a less chaotic home and would be ideal for a single individual looking for a constant companion. This handsome pup is just waiting to stare into your soul and win your heart with his big golden-brown eyes.
