Meet Plum: Your New Favorite Sidekick (With Ears Too Big for Her Face)
~DOB: 2/1/2023 | Weight: 55lbs | Low energy and drive| Silverton, OR
Looking for a ride-or-die best friend who’s basically Donkey from Shrek in a dog’s body? Look no further—Plum is your girl.
This 55-lb sweetheart is a low(ish)-energy, high-devotion kind of dog. Liley born in early 2023, she has spent every day since mastering the art of being your personal shadow. Going to the bathroom? She’s coming. Making dinner? She’s lying exactly where you need to stand. Folding laundry? Good luck—Plum has a vendetta against socks.
She’s a little shy at first, especially in new places or with new people, but once she knows you, it’s game over—you’re hers forever. She’s sweet, goofy, and about 80% mellow snuggle-bug, 20% derpy zoomie monster. And while she’s not big on cuddles (she thinks being near you is the cuddle), she’ll gladly nap at your feet or next to you on the couch—just don’t expect personal space.
Plum loves dogs, tolerates chickens with a curious stare, and has been called “the well-mannered one” by multiple pet store bystanders (jealous much?). She’d love a home with another dog buddy to help burn off her occasional puppy energy. She’s great in her crate, house-trained, and knows a handful of commands like “sit,” “down,” “kennel,” and “no”—though you better say “no” like you mean it, or she’ll assume you’re joking.
Yes, she’s got a few naughty habits—counter surfing, chewing non-toys, and jumping when excited—but she’s working on it. Think of her as a work in progress who comes with built-in comedic timing (especially when her floppy ears do that thing when she lies down).
Plum may not be your typical high-drive Malinois—she’s more of a “Netflix and chew a bully stick” kind of gal—but that just means she’s perfect for someone looking for a loyal companion with just enough sass to keep life interesting.
If you’re looking for a sensitive soul with a playful streak, some quirks, and a face that’ll make you laugh every day, Plum is waiting for you in Silverton, OR. Apply to adopt before she follows her foster mom into the bathroom again.
