Curious and happy, Pasha is eager to please and loves to play. She has loooong legs and while clumsy at times, it is fun watching her navigate through new activities. Although not so fun when her legs make is easy to counter surf – she tries to insist it’s only to help clean the dishes!! Her favorite things, aside from being with her person, are playing with the jolly ball and romping with her foster siblings.

Pasha rides well in the car and is unphased by loud noises. Proper introductions paired with reassurance will help to ensure she continues to have positive interactions with other dogs. She has been stable when out of the home surrounded by new sights, sounds and people. She does have high prey drive and loves to put on a good chase, so a home void of cats or other small animals is required.

Crate training is coming along nicely, but still a work in progress. She needs a patient person to continue to show her the crate is a safe place for short periods of time. Her main motivators are food and praise which help in her training. Pasha catches on quickly and is sensitive and responsive to minimal correction. Pasha is quite uncomfortable and untrusting of large men, though not aggressive. She loses her confidence and will emit an anxious bark off and on. Due to this, she would do best with a female handler, or an extremely patient male handler.

Pasha’s ideal home will be highly active and ready to take her on daily adventures to keep her body and mind tired. She needs to have space to run and stretch her legs, someone to continue with her obedience and confidence building; a dog her size to play with would be perfect! Her swimming skills are improving each time, so dock diving may be a fun sport for her, as would agility or barn hunt.

West Coast adoptions only, HOWEVER, if application is strong we may consider placement in other Western US states.

Must have previous or current, purebred Malinois experience OR other high drive working breed experience. Have no children under the age of 12 years old OR have extensive experience with children and high drive dogs.

Our adoption process includes- completion of an application, followed by a telephone interview. If that goes well, we will arrange for a home visit.

Adoption Donation: $400.00

Transport along Interstate 5 (Bakersfield, CA to Bellingham, WA) is available but cost not included in adoption fee.

For all inquiries, please fill out our adoption application first, as the volunteer answering emails is probably not the coordinator for the specific foster home/dog.
