Noodle wants to play play play! She is very social with other dogs, male and female and will try hard to entice them into a game of chase. She is completely neutral to strangers until they try to touch or talk to her, then she becomes a little shy. Once she warms up, she is very affectionate and loves to be scratched on the head.
Noodle is fully crate-trained, does not come out until released. She does not destroy bedding but will dump the water bucket. She is still working on basic obedience and how to walk on a leash but is a fast learner.
Noodle loves to play tug, but does not retrieve a ball yet. Her food drive is high. Her prey drive is high, so we will require a home without small children and small pets. She would also not thrive in an apartment setting. Her ideal home would be someone to build her confidence, dabble in different dog sports such as lure coursing, barn hunt, light bitework, disc competition, nosework, or someone looking for a search and rescue prospect (HRD, since she exhibits a little stranger danger).
West Coast adoptions only, HOWEVER, if application is strong we may consider placement in other Western US states.
Our adoption process includes- completion of an application, followed by a telephone interview. If that goes well, we will arrange for a home visit.
Adoption Donation: $500.00
Transport along Interstate 5 (Bakersfield, CA to Bellingham, WA) is available but cost not included in adoption fee.
For all inquiries, please fill out our adoption application first, as the volunteer answering emails is probably not the coordinator for the specific foster home/dog.
