What’s not to love about Nims? He loves to be with his person, is affectionate, cuddly, and loves to be snuggled more than anything. His gangly and puppylike, loose and bouncy romping will have you laughing when he chases ball. He will happily bring it back to you and is learning to drop it when asked. As he continues to come out of his shell and gains confidence, he will likely love more independent play. For now, he is super happy to just hang close as you complete your chores.

Nims can a bit tentative when first meeting people, but quickly warms up and will be your best friend.  When strangers walk by the fence, he watches them closely but has not barked or been reactive to them.  He currently coexists quietly and respectfully in the house with another dog and does well on parallel walks. Nims has had no contact with dogs out of the home but would probably do well with proper introductions. He also has not been introduced to cats yet, but he has shown little interest in squirrels.

Nims is potty trained, crate trained, rids well in the car, and is unphased by loud noises. He has mastered some basic skills and is working to become proficient in more. He is motivated most by praise and physical affection, only needing simple verbal correction. He is a fast learner, so training is a breeze. Being a puppy, he thrives on structure, boundaries, and clear communication.

Nims is looking for a moderately active home where he can be part of most everything you are doing. He will need a patient and caring handler who can help build his confidence and set him up for success. This easy-going, happy-go-lucky boy is waiting eagerly to be your hiking, camping, and snuggle buddy!
