Nautica is a beautiful athletic fun Shepherd who wants to accompany you on every adventure. She is up for anything and extremely biddable! Nautica is neutral to other people and dogs, she is an easy keeper as long as her exercise and mental stimulation needs are met. She is not super pushy or dominant, she is a little on the softer and sensitive side.

Nautica is fully crate-trained and doesn't even destroy bedding. She walks well on a prong collar, and responds well to moderate leash corrections and/or verbal (depending on her drive level at the time). She knows "sit", and is working on "stay" "down". Once bonded to her person, she is able to hike off-leash and naturally checks in. She rides nicely in the car, does well at the vet's office (a little nervous). Gunshots don't seem to bother her. She is bestfriends with the male Shepherd in her foster home and has briefly met two females with no issue. She will fixate on cats and will chase if given the opportunity.

Nautica's ideal home would be an easy-going, semi-active one that will continue her training and socialization. Like most Shepherds, she thrives on routine, boundaries, rules and consistency. Nautica loves going for long walks, hikes, or engaging with her person. She is essentially a blank slate. Nautica is so willing to learn, so would do well with someone who wants to put in the time and effort into building her in the direction they want. She would probably do well in lure-coursing, barn-hunt, competition obedience, rally, agility, dock-diving or flyball.
