Nash is a dashing middle-aged gentleman that just wants to love everyone.  His dapper demeanor and ravishing good looks get him compliments everywhere he goes.  #ManForThePeople  This fella just wants to be everyone's best friend and act like a total goof all the time!

His foster said that if Nash was a human, he would be a professional toy tester, and probably make a bajillion dollars doing it like the unboxing kids from YouTube.  He would sit and lick your face all day giving you all the slobbery kisses if you would let him.  Additionally, his foster thinks that he could possibly make a good therapy dog for visiting old folks' homes as he has a heart of gold and just wants to help.  Nash is no lazy bum though, as he likes to be busy during the day and wants something to do.  Sometimes it’s he wants to be next to you, play with a toy, or hike/walk all day long. 

Nash is great with strangers, older kids, and most dogs on a leash.  He is NOT safe to live with cats or other small critters. He really just wants to play with everyone.  He also believes that everyone has pockets full of treats and that they should give all of them to him.  #CanAFellaGetATreatOrSomethin  His affinity for being friendly is one of his most endearing qualities.  There have been times he was triggered by small kids playing in the distance but he might just have been having an off day as he has met kids as young as 4 with no issue.  Going to the playground and being around other kids/dogs in the park has given him more exposure and has seemed to acclimate him to his surroundings. Slow controlled introductions one on one seem to be the best for Nash.

Nash loves riding in the car and watching out the window. Visiting the vets’ office was a breeze for him with his love of people and desire to make new friends.  His reaction to loud noises is he looks to his people to ensure they are ok before going to investigate.  For toys he loves soft squishy toys, he does not shred them like most Malinois but rather throws them around in the air and tries to catch them.  Also, he plays with balls like he is a cat, batting them around with his paws and chasing them all over the house.  His favorite thing on earth other than his human is his training treats and he will do just about anything for them.  He has mastered the Sit, Lay, Place, Heel, Up, Off, Down, Slow, and Kennel commands.  Nash is still working on Paw/Shake and his recall which is about 75% currently.  Oh yeah by the way Nash knows these commands in English and German.  #SprechenSieDeutsch  He is house-trained but needs a watchful eye as he will counter surf and trash raid if he smells something he wants badly.

Mister Smarty Pants Nash is looking for a forever home that is active as he wants to run, play, give kisses, and squeak all the toy balls he can find.  When inside the house he is your shadow, when out in the yard he loves zoomies and playing.  One small sidenote, his foster said that his forever home must have a California King sized bed or be willing to purchase a large custom-sized mattress as Nash loves to sleep in bed with you.  So, if you are looking for the perfect middle-aged gentleman, please consider adopting Nash!

Transport along Interstate 5 (Bakersfield, CA to Bellingham, WA) is available but cost not included in adoption fee.
