Morticia is a gentle love and also full of butt wiggles. If she were human she would be a nurse, she is constantly checking on everyone and always has a great attitude. She is great with strangers, other neutral dogs, and is even starting to ignore the cats in her foster home (but still not trustworthy). She is great in the car and the vets office. Loud noises don't seem to bother her either.
She is fully house-trained and crate-trained, she doesn't even counter-surf or get into anything if left out. She knows "sit" "down" "shake" "potty" "stay" and "leave it". Morticia doesn't typically get into trouble, but when she does, light-moderate leash corrections do the trick. As she gets more comfortable in foster, she is starting to play with toys more, her favorite is a stuffed yellow duck, she still will not fetch.
Morticia would make a wonderful addition to almost any home. She loves her people and would do well with a family to give her all the love and cuddles she desires. She doesn't need a lot of exercise but is also happy to do whatever.
West Coast adoptions only, HOWEVER, if application is strong we may consider placement in other Western US states.
Our adoption process includes- completion of an application, followed by a telephone interview. If that goes well, we will arrange for a home visit.
Adoption Donation: $500.00
Transport along Interstate 5 (Bakersfield, CA to Bellingham, WA) is available but cost not included in adoption fee.
For all inquiries, please fill out our adoption application first, as the volunteer answering emails is probably not the coordinator for the specific foster home/dog.
