Location: Indio, CA

Moeta is a lovable dog who enjoys belly rubs and playing with her people. She has some silly qualities: she is very talkative and will sit on your feet when she wants attention! Moeta loves going for walks, has a great nose, and is always up for a game of tug. She makes a great jogging companion, so would be the perfect match for someone looking for an exercise partner.

Moeta is affectionate with her people and is protective of her home and the car. When people approach her home, she may bark in warning, but she is friendly to people who come into her home and doesn’t shy away – she loves to make friends! Moeta is bouncy when she wants to play and can play a little rough, so she would do best in a home with older children and without cats. She rides well in the car, has done well at the veterinarian’s office, and isn’t reactive to loud noises (she even ignored a thunderstorm!). Moeta has some separation anxiety when she is in a crate and left alone, but is otherwise fully crate trained. She has mastered basic obedience and is working on more advanced commands. Due to the restrictions of COVID-19, Moeta hasn’t been tested with other dogs outside of her home.

This girl would do well in a home with a lot of people. She likes being around people and receiving affection whenever possible. Moeta doesn’t need a very big yard as she plays well in small spaces and runs out of energy quicker than most high-drive dogs. Because of her attachment to humans, she’d love a home with someone who could be with her often and give her lots of love. She’s flexible to whatever her handler might want to do, whether it be a day of TV on the couch or a play session outside. Moeta has shown some propensity for using her nose, and might do well in scent work if her new family wishes to pursue it.
