Maui is a typical Husky, happy, playful, sweet, independent and pretty mischievous! She does well meeting new people and other male dogs. She is neutral to loud noises and does great at the vets office. Maui is working on "sit", "down", "focus" (eye contact), she needs work on gentle treat taking.

Maui is a curious pup who is still testing her boundaries. At home, she is the occasional counter-surfer and flip flop thief, but responds well to verbal correction. Outside, Maui has been making progress towards leash manners, controlling her prey drive, and building engagement with her handler. She has no problem with women but seems to prefer men as a primary handler. She will need a confident and patient person to continue her obedience. She is crate-trained, but occasionally whines when she hasn't been exercised or mentally simulated enough.

This lovely girl would do best in a home with no small animals, small dogs, cats, or children under 12. She is currently bestfriends with an intact male dog in her foster home  and would do well with another canine sibling that can match her energy. Due to her breed traits, she would do best in an active home who will be firm and consistent with boundaries, socialization, and training.

West Coast adoptions only, HOWEVER, if application is strong we may consider placement in other Western US states.
