ABOUT MACK

Age: ~4yrs
Gender: Male
Weight: 65 pounds and losing!
Energy Level: Low- Moderate
Overall Drive: Low-Moderate
Location: Seattle, WA

Sweet, affectionate, and well behaved, Mack is an easy-going boy who doesn’t need much to make him happy. What he loves most is to be around people who show him love and affection and take him for long daily walks. He’s the kind of dog that if human, would be the retired older man who spends his days gardening, hanging out with family, and making new friends on his strolls through the neighborhood.

Curious and confident, Mack gets along well with all humans and dogs he meets. He rides well in the car, is friendly and calm at the veterinarian’s office, and does well with older children. He shows interest/drive towards cats and rabbits, so a home without small animals or young children would suit him best. He’s working on polishing his basic obedience and is slowly learning the difference between his toys and his human’s belongings. He loves affection but can sometimes be too pushy in demanding it; he’s been learning to respect boundaries and will need his new family to continue to help him understand. He does well in the crate and responds well to gentle correction.

He will do best in a home with a committed and patient person or family who is looking for an affectionate, happy dog. He loves to be part of the family and would enjoy participating in outdoor activities with his person. Given his drive towards small animals, he may also enjoy a tracking activity such as barn hunt, if his family is interested. In addition to a loving, safe home, Mack will also need someone who is willing to help him maintain a healthy weight through diet and exercise. To know Mack is to love him, and he can’t wait to meet you!
