Lucy is ready to give love and accept love back! Affectionate and sweet, she will sit next to you to be pet for as long and as often as you’d like. Lucy is loyal, will keep guard over your household, and is always up for playing outside or going for leisurely walks. If she were a human, she’d be a bodyguard who is both concerned with protecting you but also your constant companion.

Lucy has done well with other dogs with proper introductions and as long as their play style remains polite. She is unfazed by other dogs when out on- or off-leash and mostly wants to do her own thing. As for dogs who share her home, Lucy would do best with a non-dominant male playmate. When inside the home, Lucy loves being with her person but also likes having her own space when she requires it. She loves chasing, thus will need a home without cats, small animals, or young children. Lucy has done well meeting people inside her home and is eager to greet them. She has done well at the veterinarian’s office, is calm around loud noises, and has fully mastered basic obedience. Lucy has good house manners and is easily motivated with food. She is eager to please and happy just to be with you and receive all the affection you might wish to offer.

Lucy’s ideal home would be one that has an open spot on the couch for a lovable companion with people who would be willing to give her as much affection as possible. She does enjoy running and playing and would do well with a large, fenced yard. However, she does well on-leash and would also be a good match for someone looking for a walking or hiking partner. Lucy is ready to give all of herself to whoever might be ready to receive it – all you need is love!
