ABOUT JESSE

DOB: ~ 03/11/2021

Weight: 55lbs

Energy level: Moderate

Overall Drive: Moderate

Location: Long Beach, CA

Jesse is a young male Malinois that is looking for his forever home with someone like you!  This boy loves to play and is attached to his human via Velcro!  If you are looking to add a petite Malinois in your life, he is the one for you.

This boy is 55 pounds of love wrapped up in a fur coat.  His foster family said that if he had a job in the human world, he would be a lifeguard, since he loves kids and the water.  Wherever the kids go Jesse is there.  If there is any sort of water Jesse is there too.  So, if you combine his love for water and for kids it is obvious how they came up with him being a lifeguard.  Additionally, they state that he thinks he is some sort of comedian since most everything he does will make you laugh, and he is just a happy boy.  He has been good with kids from ages 1 to 8 during his time in foster.

Jesse is fully house, and crate trained.  He sleeps all night and eats both of his meals in his crate, so if crate training was a concern for you then, put a check mark in that block since he has already mastered it.  This fella gets along with other dogs both small and large #PlaysWellWithOthers.  He has taken it upon himself that any packages that are thrown into the yard by delivery people are his mortal enemy and will kindly assist you in opening the box for inspection.  The other thing that Jesse likes to do is bark at the city bus, never has tried to chase a vehicle but loves to bark at the bus for some reason.  Jesse does not chase small animals but will bark at cats when given the opportunity.  Also, he does well in public (Home Depot) and walks fine on a leash with a prong collar, and he is non-reactive to humans during his outings.

Jesse has been known to be a counter surfer and trash can raider if left unsupervised #RaidersOfTheTrashCan.  Also, he will dig in the back yard if he is left outside and is bored.  So, if his humans are home, he needs a watchful eye and if they are not home, he should be crated until he learns proper house manners while unsupervised.  Some of the commands he has mastered during his time in foster are No, Stop, and Off.  Everything else is a work in progress.

If you are up for the adventure of a lifetime with a  #PocketMal who is good with kids and loves to play, then Jesse is the dog for you!
