ABOUT HUGO

Age: 11 years
Gender: Male
Weight: 100lbs and losing
Energy Level: Low
Overall Drive: Low
Location: Vancouver, WA

Hugo is a sweet senior gentleman looking for a soft place to live out his retirement years. Hugo enjoys the company of his people, is social to other people/animals. He is non-reactive unless there is chaos going on while he's in the crate, then he will bark, but he will quiet down with verbal corrections.

Hugo is crate-trained, house-trained, non-destructive, rides okay in the car, walks well on leash, overall an easy-keeper. He will need to continue to lose weight, and be kept slim and on joint supplements in his new home. (He is currently on Super Snouts Joint Powder and Turmeric). He is up to date on shots, neutered, heartworm negative, on heartworm and flea & tick prevention. Hugo has a great healthy full coat and nice clean teeth for his age. He is good for baths and blow drys, but not a fan of his nails being dremeled.

Hugo's ideal home would be easy-going, he would be fine with another dog that isn't overly energetic and dominant and who lets him be the "boss". He enjoys napping on a dog bed and chewing on a bone. Occasionally going for short walks.

West Coast adoptions only, HOWEVER, if application is strong we may consider placement in other Western US states.

Our adoption process includes- completion of an application, followed by a telephone interview. If that goes well, we will arrange for a home visit.

Adoption Donation: $375.00

Transport along Interstate 5 (Bakersfield, CA to Bellingham, WA) is available but cost not included in adoption fee.

For all inquiries, please fill out our adoption application first, as the volunteer answering emails is probably not the coordinator for the specific foster home/dog.

Thank you for visiting The Woof Project!
