Hobbes is the fun, adaptable, playful puppy that’s perfect for your family. He is biddable, enjoys people as well as dogs, and tries to keep up with whomever he’s with. He has an even temperament and is quick to learn, plus one look from him and your heart will melt!

Hobbes is very social and wants to be with others no matter who they are. He is curious about other animals but hasn’t attempted to aggress towards them. With cats, older dogs, and dogs smaller than him he shows only curiosity. When engaged in play with larger dogs, Hobbes self-regulates and removes himself when the situation becomes too intense for his comfort level. He does well at the veterinarian’s office and loves to go for rides in the car. He reacts well to firm but fair correction and learns quickly.

Like most puppies his age, Hobbes has almost mastered housetraining. As long as he is occupied by toys, he tends to stay away from getting into things he shouldn’t. He tears up soft toys like most Malinois puppies do but has only had one instance of other destructive behavior. Hobbes will play with any type of toy, loves to chase and retrieve, and is working on obedience.

Hobbes would fit into any home with or without pets, though he might not do as well with a dominant dog. He is an active puppy who would need an active family to keep up with him but also recognize what limitations he might have as he only has three legs. He would also need firm guidance on obedience and expectations. He is a gentle dog who loves to receive affection and is quick to learn. He can’t wait to see what more life has to offer!

West Coast adoptions only, HOWEVER, if application is strong we may consider placement in other Western US states.

Must have previous or current, purebred Malinois experience OR other high drive working breed experience. Have no children under the age of 12 years old OR have extensive experience with children and high drive dogs.

Adoption Donation: $450.00
