Grissom is ready to solve the case of his missing forever home – and it’s yours! This cuddly and friendly guy is great with children and wants to be with his people as much as possible. He is outgoing with strangers and other dogs, although wants to greet them with extra exuberance that needs some guidance.

Very mouthy but not the least bit aggressive, Grissom is working on not engaging as much with his mouth when greeting people or is excited. He rides well in a crate in the car, is very calm at the veterinarian’s office, and can be a bit skittish with loud noises or sudden movements. Grissom is motivated mostly by praise from his people although he can be persuaded with some extra special snacks. He does need some additional training when it comes to marking in the house, counter surfing, and respecting fences and boundaries. He is very biddable and usually redirects well when asked. He is currently working on basic obedience and is learning slowly but surely.

Grissom will need a family who is committed to maintaining his boundaries and to continuing his obedience training.

His energy would make him a great candidate for agility or fly-ball, should his family be interested in these activities, but he is biddable enough to enjoy whatever adventures his people might have in mind. Given his tendency to push boundaries, he will need a home with a secure, fenced yard. He loves to play and would enjoy a home with other canine companions and has done well in a home that has frequent visitors. Grissom is just starting to discover his own personality and come out of his shell within the rescue. It’s an open and shut case – Grissom is a good boy who can’t wait to meet you!
