Grinch loves everyone, and he thinks everyone is there for his entertainment and for him to entertain. He’s great with all ages of people, starts out very excited, but will do his best to match their energy and has also spent time and performed well when interacting with SPED children at a local school.

Grinch has truly never met a stranger and is a pleasure to take to any location. His environmental stability shines regardless of his surroundings. He has the eagerness and inquisitive nature of a younger sibling who wants to be involved in everything the big kids are doing but just enough maturity to reel it in like a middle schooler who thinks they are a bit too cool to be a total goof! Well, in public anyways!

Grinch currently lives with other mature dogs and has learned to be respectful of boundaries. He also lives with cats, horses, and poultry. While he does get excitable by all of them, he has shown great respect for the cats who can and will put him in his place. He is also responsive to verbal correction from an adult when he tries to play too enthusiastically with the livestock.

Grinch is potty trained, crate trained, walks well on a leash, is unfazed by loud noises, and well-mannered at the vets’ office. He is motivated by praise, food, and toys, and is working hard to become proficient in all his basic skills, light correction is sufficient to redirect. His new family will need to have clear boundaries and structure in place to continue to set him up for success.

This amazing dog had a rough start but has always been larger than life in so many ways!
